MOVE: Refresh your dream

What’s your dream?

” If you don’t have a dream find someone who does and encourage them! “

– Ps. Robin Hancox

One of my favorite scenes from the movie Pretty Woman is when the guy comes out and says “WELCOME TO HOLLYWOOD WHAT’S YO DREAM”…

What’s your dream?

What’s the dream you had when you started noticing you wanted to “do something”. The dream you felt when you first discovered a passion inside of you?

Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars and change the world. ~ Harriet Tubman

Every day you wake you should recognize your dream, even if it scares the willies out of you! Everybody should be waking up everyday with that same “WELCOME TO HOLLYWOOD” desire to dream big.

Maybe it’s not to have your name in lights or run your own company; but what happened to the ‘here’s what I wanna be/do someday’?

Someday is NOW!!!

We recently celebrated & honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who gave his life for his dream.

NOT so that too many of us would have the privileges we never even use.

Could we at least honor his sacrifice and live his dream?

OR, MAYBE we could go the extra mile, it’s rarely crowded!

So now what? What if your ‘DREAM’ has you thinking “but it’s already been done” then I need you to watch this video!

Alright, ready to adjust your FOCUS for your goals?

What’s your ONE WORD? What are you doing daily to keep you on track with that ONE WORD? My FOCUS ONE WORD for 2015 is MOVE. Whatever that means. From the first day this word dropped in my spirit, God keeps nudging me to be still. I’m learning MOVE means whatever it means. Today it means: Move away from what didn’t work last year and doesn’t lean me toward my purpose, and move toward what did. Move away from over commitment and striving for perfection. Move in leaps and bounds toward purpose. Move away from the idea that you gotta get it right – right now and move toward resting in the peace that God’s timing is always perfect! Move to BE STILL in the confidence that God always knows, always works it for my good and His glory and He’s kinda really good at what He does!!

“Be yourself and remain true to God – when the temptation is to go with the crowd, when your integrity is put to the test, when the rest of the world begs you to become someone else. Be true to yourself and true to God, and He will be glorified.” – {from Learning from the Giants: Life and Leadership Lessons from the Bible (Giants of the Bible) by John Maxwell}

Your turn: Comment below and share with us about the last experience you had that made you MOVE: left you feeling fresh, energized, and rejuvenated.

What was it that had such a positive effect on you?

BONUS: I am currently reading Making It Happen by Lara Casey and it’s totally changed my perspective on setting goals (which can be REALLY intimidating and scary) but most important to me is that she never stops pointing to the fact that we can’t possibly make “IT” happen whatever it is unless we are first and foremost being led by God’s instruction, wisdom and plan specific to our purpose. YOU NEED THIS BOOK!!!

One of the most recent resources she gave to us to help inspire some big picture motivation on our vision/goals is this WHAT FIRES ME UP scratch pad. I’ve used it as my ‘brain dump’ just to get the crazy scary I’d love to do this but ohmahgoshthisissooooobig ideas out.

Print it out, share it, pin it…it’s yours. (Don’t forget to comment below and answer the question above)

-Keep movin
