Monday motivation: Sowing your success

2 months to go! Can you believe it? 2012 is almost over. I guess its true the older we get the faster the years go by. I always look forward to this time of year because it’s full of change, gives new meaning to the words ‘true colors’ and kicks off the holiday season.

Did you know when the leaves change they’ve reached their highest potential & purpose? True beauty! And as process & plan would have it, the cycle begins again. (Jeremiah 29:11; Ecclesiastes) Wow what a lesson we could learn from that!

October is full of opportunity! This month I celebrate 12 years of marriage to my best friend, my biggest fan & someone who has supported the process of change I’ve experienced. This year gave us some amazing transformations of life, goals, expectation and focus.

Keeping that in mind, this month’s challenge is focused on losing ‘it’; whatever might be holding us back from reaching our goals. 12 years ago I never would have imagined I’d know freedom, I never knew what true peace felt like and I never knew someone could love & appreciate me because I didn’t know me! I didn’t know who I was or my ‘true colors’. I was hidden beneath bitterness, anger, fear, resentment, hurt, rejection, you name it i carried it and hid it well. I had no idea I had so much to lose.

What do you have to lose?

“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you; a good measure-pressed down, shaken together, and running over-will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:37, 38 HCSB)

Today’s Monday Motivation comes from Coach John Wooden
