Mindfulness, focus & finding purpose

“It is ingrained in us That we have to do exceptional things for God – but we do not. We have to be exceptional in the ordinary things of life, and holy on the ordinary streets, among ordinary people – and this is not learned in five minutes. // {Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest} (from Simply Tuesday)

I woke up singing the lyrics ‘grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing, He’ll meet you wherever you are, cry out to Jesus’

You know how you hear a song and it gets stuck in your brain and you can’t get it out so you find yourself humming the tune?

It was like that only I hadn’t heard the song recently. That’s when I asked God why it was lingering there.

What He said was “because that’s what you’ve been instructed to tell them and you haven’t”…

You know that scripture that says I can do all things through fitness which makes me strong? Oh wait I’m sorry it says I can do all things through running? Friends? Status? Fame? Money? grace. forgiveness. mercy. healing.

He’ll meet you wherever (whoever) you are.

He is the author of your faith.

He completes EVERYTHING He started.

He is a ditch diver.

He is a drowning victim life guard.

He is a broken vessels mender.

He is a watchful keeper for those prone to go astray.

He is everything we’ve been search the world for that leaves us hungry and thirsty and continuously searching.

We don’t have what we need from Him because we haven’t asked for it with a heart that is intended on healing the rest of the broken-hearted world.

I don’t even know who this is for.

But I’m gonna drink a big mug of this myself.

I need it.

Focus your thoughts right now on what matters to YOU give that to Him, watch what He does with it.

Read Psalm 139 in the message version. The promise is never broken.

Get inneractive.

Live in grace.

Overwhelmed by Fear

The only way to diminish fear is to relinquish your enemies of their power and walk boldly in the freedom Christ surrendered on the cross.

If you wanna get free, you gotta get lost!

Romans 12 reminds us that we are transformed by renewing our minds.

I’m suggesting that we flat out get radical and lose our minds!

Let’s get loud about our freedom and get lost in the truth that we have been redeemed!!!!!
