FOCUS: Brave commitments

We get to start over! God accepts us back, with no condemnation!

“So now there isn’t any condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” – Romans 8:1

The Brave are the ones who trace the inside of their everyday wounds and don’t grow hard.

Who don’t turn away, who peel off those stretching plastic masks and creak out of aging armor that’s grown to look like common skin, and they taste the irony of their blood running right there in their exposed thin skin and they keep breathing, they keep letting people near. Don’t tell me for one minute that isn’t real grit. – Ann Voskamp (inCourage)

When we look at things through a broken glass, all we see is the sharp edges. Maybe the scales are being removed and now I’m seeing things clear vs. a distorted broken glass with shattered sharp edges. Fear, rejection, hurt…these things are reflections of a broken glass.

When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. 1 Corinthians 13:11,12 NLT

Three things will last forever – FAITH, HOPE, AND LOVE – and the greatest of these is LOVE (1 Corinthians 13:13)
