Defining beYOUtiful

I’ve found my beautiful. And I like my beautiful. I don’t have to hold my beautiful up to others with a critical eye of judgement.

“Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Be Fearlessly Free

God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to God’s Word. We can’t get away from it—no matter what.

Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭12-16‬ MSG)

FOCUS: Freedom In Your Own Skin.

The body IS truth. If you listen, with your whole heart (Jeremiah 33) you can hear it speak. My discipline use to remind me of how awesome I looked, how structured I had ‘fixed’ my life, how much ‘better’ & stronger I was becoming with decision. One day I listened without distraction & heard a girl who still felt like she didn’t ‘fit’. I heard the cries of desperation of still not feeling like I was enough.

“incomplete people think that putting on their skinny jeans will right all their wrongs and fill up all their insecurities.”-{Made To Crave by #LysaTerkeurst }

I was sooooo incomplete. I had “tied my happy” to a fit body, a great career as a fitness professional and smaller numbers on the scale and clothes. In Made To Crave Lysa explains that we must learn where our complete joy & freedom comes from. It can only come from God by remaining or abiding in Him. Our peace, confidence, joy, happiness, hope and strength MUST start from deep inside our souls (mind, will, emotions and imagination).

COMPLETE = LACKING NOTHING!!! Whooop whooop that’s what I want!!!

I want my body to be a vision and billboard of my truth NOT a display of my broken heart, my desperate cries to be noticed, my diet progress and skinny jeans.

I’m on a mission to help more women find THAT freedom

Let’s MOVE we’ve circled this mountain long enough! (Deuteronomy 2:3)

“Fear, self-pity, pride and negativity paralyze us”… “Taking of our mask takes courage, but if we don’t do it, we will remain in our victim status” (Ruth Graham)

Oh PRAISE YOU JESUS FOR RESTORING MY ABILITY TO WALK AND BREAKING THOSE CHAINS!!!! YALL aren’t you sick & tired of being paralyzed by that junk???? Let’s find our true north and go!!! Are you in?

Personal reflection:

We are taught to remain in God’s love so that we won’t tie our happy to anything but God. To what other things besides God have you tues your happy? What was the result? Do you think it’s possible for you to feel full of joy even if you’re not where you want to be with your weight? Why or why not?

Compassion for incomplete people – including ourselves – translates into acts of kindness. When you think of the incomplete people in your life, especially those who may be eating triggers, how might a compassionate act of kindness change how you feel about that person? How might it change how you feel about yourself and your own incompleteness?
