What was your most recent commitment?

Have you finished the task or walked away after the fun, sparkle and excitement fizzled out?

Y’all lately God has been speaking to me about Noah, the seemingly weird assignment of building the ark and this unfamiliar thing called rain that would flood the earth.

Weird? Maybe. But in the context of God knowing way more than me I’m just gonna chalk up to His thoughts are higher than mine so what seems odd to me might just mean it’s gonna take this a minute to process.  #trusttheprocess

Noah committed to finish the work. Not even because it was really exciting or something that would get notoriety and it certainly wasn’t trendy. He committed to following the instruction God gave Him, trusting that God would complete what He started.

Jesus committed to finish His assignment trusting God would complete what He started.

Do you think they ever became overwhelmed? I’m sure they did.

Were they ever criticized? Yup

Mocked? Yup

Redeemed.

Praise God yes!!!!

Friends, God has called us to commit to do the work that matters most in the context of the plans He made from the beginning.

Being overwhelmed, criticized, mocked and afraid kinda sorta come with the territory, but we are not ever defeated to our end; no we overcome victoriously!

But first, commit!

Whatever the assignment, whatever the unfamiliar thing that causes a ‘flood’; today I trust that God has a plan for my life.

When Jesus is enough in our lives, we focus on what we have, not on what we don’t have. We bless God and don’t curse him. We gaze intently on God and run to him, not away from him. We believe God and don’t doubt him, even though we don’t understand our circumstances. We ask him to take the half of us that’s left and make that everything he wants us to be. When we have no comeback, the comeback is that Jesus is enough. – Louie Giglio COMEBACK

“Do not be agitated by evildoers; do not envy those who do wrong. For they wither quickly like grass and wilt like tender green plants. Trust in the Lord and do what is good; dwell in the land and live securely. Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act, making your righteousness shine like the dawn, your justice like the noonday.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:1-6‬ ‭HCSB‬‬
