Your life might be the only bible anyone ever reads -Ps. Keith Beckwith

Is your life visibly a reflection & metaphor of what you speak?

Are you living what you speak?

What do you have your eyes fixed on?

Stand face to face with the younger me
All of the mistakes
All of the heartbreak
Here’s what I’d do differently

I’d love like I’m not scared
Give when it’s not fair
Live life for another
Take time for a brother
Fight for the weak ones
Speak out for freedom
Find faith in the battle
Stand tall but above it all
Fix my eyes on you

You are more than enough because the God in you didn’t make any mistakes when He created you.

Let’s get back to the basics of living well.

Living like we know we’re blessed to live.

Living like you know that you’re redeemed from every mistake, every thing ever done wrong to you, every blame, every short coming, every fault, every sin. Yes EVERY sin.

Living in the BASICS of life seem so elementary and simple that it sometimes seems to simple to work.

We over complicate thing.

We think too hard on the little things and try to explain unexplainable situations.

Sometimes it’s worth just stepping back or taking the scary step forward, letting go and literally surrendering; just opening your hands and letting EVERYTHING fall out that doesn’t need to be there.

We hold onto things that aren’t worth holding onto.

We let go of things that should be held deep in our hearts; not clenched in our fists.

Let’s fix our eyes.

The things of Earth are dimming
In the light of Your glory and grace
I’ll set my sights upon Heaven
I’m fixing my eyes on you
I’m fixing my eyes on you
I’m fixing my eyes

Take a deep breath:

Wherever you are right now, take a long deep breath through your nose and allow your lungs to completely fill with air.

Now slowly release that breath through your nose allowing your shoulders to slump, tucking your chin to your chest.

Do that again, only  this time as you breathe in lift your chin toward the ceiling tilting your head back and open your chest, as you breathe out allow your shoulders to relax behind you as if you were tucking them into your back pockets.

Adjust your focus. God never intended for you to carry all of that on your shoulders.

It may take time, it may take pressure, it may take unraveling your tangled webs.

Don’t fear moving forward slowly. Fear  standing still!

He wants you free. He’s listening to your heart right now and wants to release you of those weights. Let go.

Life is a balance. It’s coming and going. It’s faith and fitness. It’s family and friends. It’s you and God. At the center of it all, you’ll find that the “balancer” of the scale is Christ. It must be Christ otherwise we find ourselves juggling. Managing time, goals, desires, a happy marriage, a healthy lifestyle…it’s balance. There’s no way we can balance without Christ. Spirit, soul and body He’s the focus.

Can we pray?

Lord the deepest desires of our hearts are sometimes unclaimed because we simply don’t know what to call them. I pray that you would hear the sudden change of pace in our heart beat. Whether it speeds up from anxious cares or slows down in despair, hear it. Hear and help us in the spaces we don’t allow freedom, hear us in the spaces we didn’t know you cared about, hear us in the spaces that we’ve scream, cried, cheered, or sat quietly. Consider our hearts Lord, with every beat mend the breaking and restore us to a place of joy, peace, compassion, tender mercy, and perseverance. In your name we pray and receive your Grace. Amen

What is the Lord speaking into your life right now, where is he asking you to just live like you mean it, where is He asking you to fix your eyes?
